Code Reg., Section 5192) regulations.
Prior to mobilization, each soil boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance
obtained through Underground Service Alert. An EHD soil boring permit will be obtained and on-
site during boring activities.
3.2. SOIL-VAPOR COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
AGE proposes to advance soil borings using direct-push technology;three borings will be advanced
on the site as described below:
• SV-1 is proposed to be advanced adjacent to the former UST area and boring B4 and
northeast of the current UST area;
• SV-2 is proposed to be advanced adjacent to west-northwest of the repair shop/main packing
shed, in the vicinity of soil boring B- ; and
w
• SV-3 is proposed to be advanced adjacent to repair shop and north of the packing shed.
The proposed locations of the soil-vapor samples were determined based upon their proximity to the
current UST area and the occupancy of the various buildings as depicted on Figure 2.
Each boring will be advanced to a depth of five feet bsg (1.5 meters) near building structures and
soil-vapor samples collected from depths of 5 bsg each soil boring location.
Field procedures for advancement of borings and collection of soil-vapor samples are presented in
Sections 4.1 and 4.2.
Each soil-vapor sample will be submitted for laboratory analysis an _analyzed by a State of
California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory or one or more the following
constituents: --
. r
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to include BTEX and naphthalene in accordance with
EPA Method 8260B; and
• Fuel additives di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), methyl tertiary
butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butanol ( BA),
1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and ethylene dibromide (EDB) in accordance with EPA
Method 8260B.
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
