CHRONOLOGY. Ace Tomato Company Incorporated 2771 East French Camp Road Manteca, CA 95336 01/30/04 Upgrades to the two dispensers - and piping associated with the underground storage tank (UST) system consisting of one 6,000-gallon diesel UST and one 6,000 gallon unleaded gasoline UST were performed h on this date under permit issued by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). Soil samples were collected from the two stockpiles, beneath each dispenser, and around the unleaded fill bucket. Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) were detected at 11 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) in soil samples collected from the unleaded gasoline stockpile; methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) was detected at 2.1 mg/kg and tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) was detected at r r 14.5 mg/kg in soil samples collected from around the unleaded fill bucket; MTBE was detected at 0.054 mg/kg in soil samples collected from beneath the unleaded gasoline dispenser; and soil samples collected from the unleaded gasoline stockpile contained benzene at 0.089 mg/kg, toluene at.1,88 mg/kg, ethyl benzene at 0.671 mg/kg, total xylenes at 3.86 mg/kg, MTBE at 52.4 mg/kg, and TBA at 8.43 mg/kg. 02/18/04 EHD filed Unauthorized Release Form URF #04-U01 on this date. 02/17/04 EHD filed Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge on this date. 02/20/04 This site was assigned to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's (EHD) Local OversightProgram (LOP). 03/17/04 Date of Work Plan for Limited Immediate Corrective Action at Ace I Tomato Facility Located.at 2771 E. French Camp.
