FRENCH CAMP RV PARK& GOLF COURSE
GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION WORKPLAN
SEPTEMBER 2006
1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION
This section provides a brief description of the French Camp facility, site conditions, and the
proposed locations for the monitoring wells.
This Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation Workplan (Workplan), submitted on behalf of
French Camp RV Park& Golf Course (French Camp), describes the proposed location and
design of monitoring wells to be installed in the French Camp land application area. The
Workplan was prepared based on requirements presented in the document Requirements for
Monitoring Well Installation Workplans and Monitoring Well Installation Reports, provided by
the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board).
1.1 Background Information
French Camp, located at 3919 French Camp Road in French Camp, California(see
Topographic/Well Detail Map), is an RV Park and Golf Course. The site is underlain by alluvial
deposits of sandy clay silts, sandy silts, and very fine sands. The topography is fairly flat with a
creek flowing west to north on the western side of the property(See Attached U.S.G.S.
Topographic Map). Wastewater associated with the operations of running an RV park and golf
course is treated and stored in a storage pond which is used for irrigation. The storage pond is
located approximately 500 feet south of the existing wastewater treatment plant (see
Groundwater Monitoring Well Locations). A permit issued to French Camp allows the effluent
to be discharged to the creek on the western side of the property; however, no effluent has been
discharged to the creek.
The Regional Board requested that French Camp submit a Workplan for the installation of
groundwater monitoring wells.
The purpose of this Workplan is to describe the installation of sufficient monitoring points to
evaluate groundwater flow direction and background first groundwater quality. This Workplan
is also intended to satisfy certain monitoring conditions and the existing California Regional
Water Quality Control Board (RWQBCB)permit. This workplan contains the following
elements:
• Proposed monitoring well locations and rationale
• Monitoring well installation and design
• Monitoring well development and survey instructions
• Monitoring well installation schedule
• Groundwater sampling and analysis plan
French Camp-Monitoring Well Installation Workplan 1 SAB027100
September 2006 C\Documents and Settings\mlagono\Local Settings\remporary Internet Fi1es\0LK9F\Work Plan
