Scott inquired
about the possibility of informal verbal approval so that the permit could be issued and wells installed prior to June 30`h
2015 for budget reasons. Although I have received the permit application, I have not yet sent Scott a processed permit.
My understanding is that our department should have documented CVRWQCB approval of ozone injection prior to
issuing ozone injection well installation permits. Please see the emails below for reference . How you would like this type
of situation to proceed?
Thank you,
Gabriel Gonzalez, REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209) 468-3442
Email : gazonzalez@sicehd.com
From: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 3 : 31 PM
To: Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
Subject: RE: 1817 South Fresno Avenue, Stockton
Send Jim an email and ask him — or forward this one. I 'm sure Jim will respond as soon as possible, but we cannot issue
the permits before that time.
NCH
From : Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 3 : 06 PM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Subject: FW: 1817 South Fresno Avenue, Stockton
Hi Nuel,
Scott called regarding the EHD permit to install ozone injection wells. In EHD letter dated April 26, 2015, one
condition of permit issuance was CVRWQCB approval of ozone injection . There is an NOI/MRP document on
Geotracker ( pending - to be deleted and reuploaded to remove copy of a check) and Jim Barton apparently has
the document in his possession. However, according to Scott and the email below, Jim may not be able to
review the NOI and work plan and respond until 30 or more days. Scott asked if I could get verbal approval from
Jim Barton to issue the permits as Scott wants to have the wells installed before June 30`h 2015 (for budget
reasons) . I would think it's only appropriate to wait for Jim to review and respond to the ozone injection work
I
