CLEAR�VATER <br />' G R O U P <br /> Environmental Services <br /> 1 <br />' 7.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING PROGRAM AND SYSTEM OPERATION & <br /> MAINTENANCE <br /> 7.1 Baseline Groundwater Monitoring <br />' Prior to system implementation, a baseline sampling event will be conducted on the onsite <br /> monitoring wells (MW-2, MW- 3, MW-5, and MW-6) The samples will be analyzed for TPHg, <br />' BTEX, MTBE, nitrate, sulfate, ferrous iron, ortho-phosphate, ammonia nitrogen, total organic <br /> carbon (TOC), biological oxygen demand (BOD), and chemical oxygen demand (COD), DO, and <br />' pH In addition, DO, redox potential conductivity (ORP), temperature, and pH measurements <br /> will be gathered in the field <br />' The sampling data will be used to assess whether sufficient nutrients still exist at the site to <br /> provide the necessary conditions for biodegradation If it is concluded that the levels do not <br /> exist, then nutrients will be added The data will also be used to determine the location and <br />' number of infection wells to be installed The monitoring well network will continue to be <br />' monitored on a quarterly basis to evaluate remedial progress, and to determine whether <br /> adjustment or relocation of system components or addition of nutrients is warranted The <br />' monitoring well samples will be analyzed according to USEPA Method 8260B for <br /> concentrations of TPHg, BTEX and five-fuel oxygenates Field measurement of pH, DO, and <br />' ORP will also be performed during the periodic sampling events <br />' 7.2 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Clearwater will continue with the existing Quarterly Monitoring schedule and analytical protocol <br />' as directed by the SIC/EHD quarterly sampling of the eight monitoring wells for TPHg, BTEX, <br /> and MTBE by EPA Method 8260B Groundwater monitoring will occur at regular intervals <br /> 1 <br /> ZB 178C RAP 23 May 18,2004 <br /> I <br />
