September
A v3
AGE-NC Project
No. 95-0184
j
For the SVE, the catalytic oxidizer unit will/busied to apply a vacuum to VW ;A. The induced
vacuum will be measured at V W5B and V W2l vapor concentrations from the extraction we
will be measured at intervals throughout the pilot test. The induced pressure at monitoring points,
sparging rate (discharge rate),vapor concentrations at monitoring points, depth to ground water in
surrounding wells and dissolved oxygen will be measured throughout the IAS pilot test.
The extraction well vacuum, induced vacuum at monitoring points, extracted hydrocarbon
concentrations and extraction flow rate will be measured at regular intervals throughout the test.
Data will facilitate required changes to the design of the current SVE system(new wells) and will
be used to determine the spacing of the vapor wells to be compatible with the IAS remediation.
5-4
Four vapor samples will be collected from the extraction welf6ring the test(daily). Samples will
be collected at regular intervals following the operation of the IAS/SVE. The samples will be
collected in Tedlar bags and stored in a cool container and transported under chain-of-custody to a
Califomia-certified laboratory for analysis. Each vapor sample will be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH-g)and volatile organic compounds(BTEX/MTBE)in accordance
with in accordance with EPA Methods 8015m and 8260, respectively.
3.2. REPORT PREPARATION
Procedures and findings of IAS pilot test will be summarized in a feasibility report prepared for the
site, to be included in a Corrective Action Plan (CAP). The CAP will provide an analysis of
feasibility testing and include recommendations for ground water remediation(and soil)at the site.
The reports will be in a format acceptable to the EHD and will be reviewed and signed by a
California Professional Geologist.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact me at(209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.QOF\PMALG
R. 7pcs
* No. 7473
William R.
