CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 96-814 <br /> CHEVRON PIPELINE COMPANY <br /> CORRAL HOLLOW AND GRANT LINE ROAD <br /> TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY COUNTY <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons contaminate the soil and groundwater at the Chevron Pipeline leak site <br /> near the comer of Corral Hollow and Grant Line Roads in Tracy. The,extent of the <br /> contamination is fairly well defined. Prior to construction, plans and specifications for ground <br /> water monitoring and/or extraction wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review and <br /> approval. After construction, new wells are to be sampled and analyzed for the constituents <br /> below and.added to.the.monitoring.program. <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> There are 11 ground water monitoring wells at the site as shown in Figure 1. Monitoring wells <br /> with free phase petroleum product or visible sheen shall be monitored for product thickness and <br /> depth to ground water only. The ground water monitoring program for the wells, and any <br /> additional wells installed subsequently, except for wells containing free phase petroleum product <br /> or visible sheen, shall include the following: <br /> EPA Preparation and Maximum Detection <br /> Constituents Analytical Methods Limit(ug/1)1 Sampling Frequency <br /> Benzene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Toluene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Ethylbenzene 5030/8020 0.3 Quarterly <br /> Xylene 5030/8020 0.6 Quarterly <br /> TPH as Gasoline 5030/8015M 50 Quarterly <br /> TPH as Diese12 3510/363013/8015M 50 Quarterly <br /> Lead' 239.2 15 Quarterly <br /> 1 For nondetectable results. <br /> s If diesel is not detected during the first round of sampling,then no further analyses for diesel are required. <br /> ' If lead is not detected during the first round of sampling,then no further analyses for lead are required. <br />
