No work will be conducted by <br /> Chevron consultants without prior approval by Grantline. <br /> c. Permittees shall provide Grantline at least three days advance notice <br /> by telephone or facsimile to confirm the date and time for any investigation or work approved in <br /> accordance with Paragraph b, above. <br /> d. All investigation and work activities conducted by Permittees shall be <br /> in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, County, City and other laws and regulations. All <br /> activities conducted by Permittees on the Property shall also be in conformity with accepted <br /> industry practice and standards among environmental engineering consultants in the State of <br /> California. <br /> 3. This Agreement shall take effect on the date last executed by the Parties. <br /> This Agreement shall extend for a period of twelve months, and may be renewed for succeeding <br /> periods of twelve months each, upon the mutual agreement of the parties in a writing executed by <br /> both of them. <br /> 4. Permittees shall not cause or permit any damage to the Property or any <br /> conditions of nuisance or waste in conducting any of the work provided for in this Agreement. <br /> Permittees shall take all measures necessary and appropriate laws referred to in Paragraph 2d, <br /> above, to prevent any new contamination, or spread of contamination, in-the course of their <br /> investigations, whether through introduction of contamination soil into groundwater, through <br /> cross-contamination or aquifers, or through other acts or omissions. <br /> S.
