' the groundwater with gasoline, diesel, and/or motor oil, which are the same contaminants present <br /> ' in groundwater beneath the 541 Site Most of the LUST sites have or are currently undergoing <br /> remediation and monitonng These sites are discussed in more detail in the Site Assessment <br /> Report(Treadwell & Rollo, 2003a) The most likely offsite source areas are located south and <br /> southwest of the 541 Site The following sates were evaluated in the field investigation program <br /> included <br /> • Former Chevron, Mobil, and Scotties Service Stations that have commingled <br /> ' groundwater plumes containing gasoline, diesel, motor oil, MTBE, and BTEX, <br /> 0 Aged Chevron fuel pipeline along West Grant Line Road that has carried various refined <br /> r' fuel products including let fuel, gasoline, and diesel, <br /> ' • Former Wheel Country/Service Station, and <br /> • Former Shell Station (7-11 Store) <br /> - Road In 1 64 an unspecified number of fuel <br /> Former Chevron Station 575 West Grant Lane oa 9 p <br /> USTs were installed at the former Chevron Station The steel USTs were removed and replaced <br /> with fiberglass USTs in 1984 There 1s no documentation available as to the location, size, and <br /> ' type of steel USTs removed or information regarding an investigation or remediation The four <br /> fiberglass fuel and waste oil USTs, oil-water separator sump, product lines, and hoists were <br /> ' removed from the Chevron Station in 1994 (Touchstone Developments, 1994a and b) <br /> Contaminated soil was detected and excavated following UST removal Chevron has since <br /> ' conducted several investigations and installed groundwater monitoring wells (Secor, 2001 and <br /> 2002) <br /> currently contaminated with gasoline, <br /> The groundwater beneath the former Chevron Station is carr y g , <br /> ' diesel, MTBE, and BTEX and flows to the northwest(Secor, 2003) Total oil and grease or TPH <br /> motor oil is not currently tested The lateral and vertical extent of the Chevron Station plume has <br /> lie <br /> not been fully defined Contaminated groundwater has migrated offsite and possibly <br /> commingled with other upgradient sources (i c , Former Mobil and Scotties) In 1996, <br /> 1 <br /> Field Investigation Report 5 8 December 2003 <br /> ' TREADWELL&ROLLO,INC <br />
