Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Irerracan <br /> Soares Property■ Escalon, CA <br /> December 13, 2019 ■ Terracon Project No. NA197095 <br /> Terracon searched the DWR online Well Completion Records for additional information regarding <br /> soil lithology within 0.25 miles of the site. The following water supply well was identified nearest <br /> the site. <br /> Table 6. <br /> Well Completion Reports. <br /> Well Number Latitude Longitude Depth Approximate <br /> Feet Distance/Direction from Site <br /> 77488W 37.7806 -120.9592 500.0 227 feet northeast <br /> 95320 37.7797 -120.9603 345.0 155 feet west <br /> Based on a review of the Well Completion records contained in the EHD records, the soils within <br /> the vadose zone (between 0 and 70 to 80 feet bgs) are anticipated to consist of sand, clay, and <br /> or sand with gravel layers. Refer to Appendix G for a copy of the Well Completion records. <br /> 1.6 Percolation Test Information <br /> 1.6.1 Percolation Test Locations <br /> Refer to Section 1.5.1 and Appendix A, Exhibit 2. <br /> 1.6.2 Number of Percolation Tests <br /> Two percolation tests (B3 and B6) were performed. <br /> 1 .6.3 Boring Preparation and Presaturation <br /> The percolation test borings (B3 and 66) were hand augered on November 21, 2019. <br /> Approximately two inches of"pea gravel"was placed in the bottom of the open boring. A 2.0-inch <br /> diameter PVC pipe with perforations towards the bottom was installed on top of the gravel and <br /> the annular space was backfilled with "pea gravel". Presaturation of the percolation test holes <br /> occurred on November 21, 2019 approximately 24 hours prior to the day of testing. The depth of <br /> water used to pre-soak the shallow borings was approximately 1.0 foot above the top of the gravel. <br /> 1.6.4 Condition of Borings after Presaturation <br /> Boring B3 and B6 were dry intact after the 24-hour pre-soak period. <br /> 1.6.5 Percolation Test Procedure <br /> On November 22, 2019, the percolation test was conducted in accordance with the requirements <br /> of the San Joaquin County Percolation Test Procedure (Form: EHD 42-01-002 Revised 08-23- <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 10 <br />
