(Wright) has prepared the workplan for
i3J►7Ei StMtA- bC ff(Nt P assessing the contamination at the above referenced site. As you know, the San Joaquin County
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHO) has requested that further
To 'V(l✓ AiL 12 Gu1111tL1tSi work be done to ascertain the presence and extent of contamination from the former
underground storage tanks.
t"1.0'7M'kJ DJ Www-) T* 0*6R' tldW1`rL
r4P62U O 0 FF TVtt JSTS WpLes Background
W ICiL1sT0 1 D i t- y Qd1^ L Two underground storage tanks (one 280 gallon and one 650 gallon) were removed by Wright
on October 23, 1993. The tanks were located under the sidewalk adjacent to Eleventh Street.
.'W SltAt f jC Arl. { Soil samples showed 590 parts per million (ppm) Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline
bClht f N i ✓ (TPHG)and 28.000 ppm of an unknown hydrocarbon. Low levels of Toluene,Ethylbenzene and
Xylenes were observed. The sample collected under the 650-gallon tank also showed 1 ppm of
Perahloroethylene (PCE). Approximately 125 cubic yards of contaminated soil was excavated
and properly disposed off-site.
3. 1.e r(se: LASin'
LT..jyf►►i Technical Approach
fkS IjGl1c7GAJ t AV Z The technical approach to this project is to conduct a horizontal and vertical investigation of the
AQ4?ibr site and vicinity. The area is somewhat constricted due to the proximity of the street and
buildings,so a phased approach is proposed. Consistent with the City of Tracy requirements,a
traffic control plan will be developed since some of the work will occur in the street. Soil
borings and reconnaissance soil and groundwater sampling will be done at the locations shown on
k r n LT Figure 1. This should provide an assessment of the approximate contaminant extent in
groundwater. The data collected in these borings will be used to select locations for permanent
ll groundwater monitoring wells. This should allow the dissolved plume to be located and
Q Ll(rATldIJ F ' ' monitored and cleanup approaches to be eveluated.
Cage n'Play page t
4220 Commercial Dr.#5 - Tracy,California 45376
((j p`jr1 k]}Ol1S WG t G Telephone(209)833-0758 - Fax(209)832-5152
TttAN
G - l F C,ii -,pWq Tpth -. 70" f514`' 1T Pat=
i i 2 D 4 s3dfL ,to t,tl'Ovts $x{ V5/0'q-)
P-m'1t.i , a►2ast'P ui,1a6rM, f- 4$ Iiot/Gs fav 5c Atv 1)'t
t To lg; lLE F ELO 3
1'1A151Vi CRQi ctNTtaut F3Q J`f .
