1
SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION
' INTRODUCTION
The Williams Landmark fertilizer and petroleum facility
W located sn Edgerton, Ohio was investigated for potential
subsurface contamination in response to a request by a potential
` purchaser of the facility. The facility maintains both above and
below ground storage units for petroleum products. The existence
' of contamination was indicated near the underground storage tank
installation.
The subsequent subsurface investigation was aimed at
delineating the areal and vertical extents of contamination. An
' area approximately 601 x 75' located approximately twelve (12)
feet below ground surface, with a thickness defined by the water
1 -- table was defined as the extents of contamination. Additionally,
it was determined that the quality of the groundwater has been
adversely affected.
' This investigation was performed for Williams Landmark
Corporation of Montpelier, Ohio.
Authorization to perform this investigation was in form of an
accepted proposal between Mr. Dale Kuenzli of Williams Landmark
1 and Alt & Witzig Engineering, Inc.
i
1
1
Page 33
' 70
