I <br /> � � I <br /> Pestana Trust Page 2 <br /> Please submit a work plan to define the extent of soil and groundwater contamination, in addition to an <br /> interim soil remediation work plan to remove soil contamination by March 31, 1993. <br /> Groundwater sampling of the existing monitoring wells has been scheduled for January 29, 1993. The <br /> resultant quarterly report should be submitted by March 15, 1993. Additionally, note that during a recent <br /> site inspection, PHS/EHD observed ten 55 gallon drums in various locations on the site. PHS/EHD staff <br /> has been informed that the contents of these drums will be properly disposed. Please provide disposal i <br /> documention within the next quarterly report. Quarterly reporting is recognized as a minimum reporting <br /> requirement. <br /> r <br /> Reports, work plans and correspondence should be directed to both PHS/EHD and to the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB). This will facilitate expeditious review of the site. <br /> '! <br /> Please be informed that PHS/EHD inspections of sampling events is an important aspect of local <br /> regulatory oversight.
