1 02 June 1997 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0105 <br /> ' Page 4 of 11 <br /> t <br /> t27 EXCAVATION BACKFILLING <br /> On 26 and 27,June 1995 the excavation was backfilled using imported fill sand, supplied by Conti <br /> Materials Service, Inc ,Compaction was performed using a rolling/vibrating compactor The <br /> compactor and operator were supplied by Stokley Construction Compaction tests were performed <br /> west and north of the building A minimum of 90% compaction was obtained for both tests The <br /> ' compaction tests were performed by Arrowhead Consultants A new asphalt surface was then applied <br /> over the entire site <br /> ' Analytical results of the soil samples collected during the excavation of 1995 were included in the <br /> Quarterly Report-July 1995, dated 15 September 1995 and prepared by AGE <br /> 4 I <br /> 28 SOIL PROBE BORINGS <br /> ' 2 8 1 COLLECTION OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> Six soil probe borings were advanced at the site on 24 January 1996, under the direction of AGE <br /> Figure 2 depicts the locations of the probe borings The probe borings were advanced using AGE's <br /> van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 soil probang machine <br /> Probe borings P1 and P2 were advanced in the left turn lane of west bound Grant Lane Road, near <br /> Parker Avenue Boring P3 was placed on-sate within former UST excavation B Boring P4 was <br /> advanced west of the site within the parking lane of Parker Avenue (City of Tracy right-of-way) <br /> Boring P5 was advanced on-sate north of the building near the canopy <br /> Boring P6 was advanced at the northwest corner of the property Borings Pl, P2, and P4 were <br /> ' <br /> advanced to depths o gf 7 feet bsg, g borin P7 was advanced to 9 feet bsg;boring P5 was advanced to <br /> a depth of 10 feet bsg, and boring P6 was advanced to a depth of I 1 feet bsg <br /> ' 2 8 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g and TPH-d were detected an samples P2-5, P2-7 and P6-7 at concentrations as high as 2,200 <br /> ' ppm BTE&X were detected an samples P5-8 and P6-7 at concentrations as high as 190 ppm <br /> (xylenes, P6-7) Analytical results of soil�samples are summarized on Table 1 , <br />
