Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> Subject: Well Abandonment <br /> Unocal Service Station #6981 <br /> 4707 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Ms. Meays: <br /> At the request of Unocal Corporation (Unocal), GeoStrategies (GSI) is submitting the Application for <br /> Well/Pump Permits for abandoning wells at the subject site. GSI intends to abandon groundwater <br /> monitoring wells MW-3, MW-10, MW-12, and MW-13 in place by pressure grouting. After pressure <br /> grouting each well, the upper two feet of casing and surface seal will be drilled out. The upper 2 feet <br /> of borehole will be backfilled with neat cement. The locations of these wells are shown on the attached <br /> Site Plan. These wells are being abandoned due to the City of Stockton widening Pacific Avenue and. <br /> March Lane as indicated in the City's letter dated February 16, 1996. <br /> As requested in your letter (mailed March 27, 1996), we are submitting three permit applications with <br /> a check for $180.00 ($60.00/application). We have also included the borings logs for each well. <br /> A encroachment permit application will also be submitted to the City of Stockton.
