PHS/EHD has prepared the following comments for your
consideration.
Both Unocal's and the City of Stockton's correspondence were in reference to the proposed
March Lane/Pacific Avenue interchange widening project. In order for the project to proceed,
it is necessary that monitoring wells: MW3, MW10, MW12, and MW13 be destroyed.
According to the most recent groundwater elevation data, all wells have screened intervals
significantly below the current depth to water; therefore, groundwater analytical results are
not considered representative of site conditions. A summary of the screened interval of
existing monitoring wells in comparison to current depth to water information has been
prepared.
WELL SCREENED DEPTH TO WATER
ID INTERVAL JANUARY 24, 1996
MW-1 55 - 51 41 .41
MW-2 55 - 51 43.05
MW-3 55 - 52 42.64
MW-4 55 - 51 42.82
MW-5 55 - 50 43.11
MW-6 69 - 49 42.49
MW-7 69 - 49 43.29
MW-8 69 - 49 41 .14
MW-9 70 - 50 42.74
MW-10 70 - 50 40.79
MW-1 1 72 - 52 43.12
MW-12 72 - 52 43.06
MW-13 71 - 51 43.30
PTW-1 72.5-52.5 NOT TAKEN
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
