PHS/EHD has prepared the following comments for your consideration. Both Unocal's and the City of Stockton's correspondence were in reference to the proposed March Lane/Pacific Avenue interchange widening project. In order for the project to proceed, it is necessary that monitoring wells: MW3, MW10, MW12, and MW13 be destroyed. According to the most recent groundwater elevation data, all wells have screened intervals significantly below the current depth to water; therefore, groundwater analytical results are not considered representative of site conditions. A summary of the screened interval of existing monitoring wells in comparison to current depth to water information has been prepared.
