Mr. Howard Hold
August 16,2004
Page 5
occur the week of August 30. In advance of that week, well permits need to be obtained from
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. Additionally, time in advance of
the planned construction date is also required for the well locations to be staked, drilling sites
to be prepared(as needed), construction materials to be obtained, and drilling equipment to
be mobilized. Therefore,we request that the RWQCB provide review of the new monitoring
well locations and provide any comments to LSCE as soon as possible as we wish to initiate
the preliminary field activities, the permit process, and authorize the drilling contractor to
proceed with purchase of the necessary construction materials.
We appreciate the RWQCB's consideration of the tight schedule needed for Kruger/SMS
Briners to comply with the RWQCB's requirements. Please call at your earliest convenience
this week.
Sincerely,
Vicki Kretsinger
Principal Hydrologist
Lawrence H.
