a
Ms. Wendy Cohen
19 December 1994
Page 3
monitoring wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-7, and the abandonment/replacement of MW-8, MW-
11, and MW-12 (see Attachment 1: Site Map). Additionally, a groundwater monitoring well
will be installed in the former location of MW-4. A discussion of the delineation of the on-site
contamination will be presented in the work plan along with a description of the well
abandonment and replacement procedures. Contours showing the lateral extent of
groundwater impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons will also be presented to aid in the
evaluation of the site. Upon completion of the site work, the distribution of hydrocarbons
within the soil and groundwater will be evaluated and, if required, CPL will install additional
wells in the areas of greatest soil contamination.. The work plan will be submitted to your
office by 13 January 1994.
It was agreed between CPL and the RWQCB-CV that any further site investigations that may
be required off-site to the south would be addressed by CPL as a different site due to potential
legal issues. CPL will respond to any formal request from the RWQCB-CV requiring
activities with respect to the properties south of Dividend Property.
i
Please contact Mr. Martin Bloes (805/632-1086) or me (805/632-1046) with any remarks or
questions. Your continued support on this project is appreciated.
Sincerely,
4on40. 1beLrtson
Environmental Specialist
Enclosure (1)
bloe\dividend\mrp.ltr
i
cc:
Rick Becker - DTSC
Y.
