The report presents results of additional groundwater sampling at four
locations to determine the presence of dissolved-phase total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in
,groundwater beyond the areas of TPH-affected soil. ,
The report states that none of the four sampling locations contained TPH characterized as diesel,
analyzed with and without silica gel cleanup. Based on these nondetectable results, the report
recommends preparation of a closure request in accordance with Appendix B [No Further Action
Requests (NFA)] of the Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for PreliminaryInvestigation and g
Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites. We concur with the report's finding and recommendation. In
addition to providing information specified in Appendix B, Chevron also should include the information
—provided-in the prototype April 2000-Site-Closure Request;–By 29 June 2001,--please submit.a schedule __.
to complete the NFA request.
` If you have any questions, you may call me at (916) 255-3398 or e-mail at isorenp@rb5s.swrcb.ca.gov.
_ r• PHILIP .
