H2O EOLD - <br /> A GROUND WATER CONSULTANCY <br /> P O Box 2165 ■ Livermore, California 94551-2165 rr (925) 373-9211 <br /> STEP DRAWDOWN TEST <br /> AND CONSTANT RATE TEST <br /> OF WELL EW-1, NOVEMBER 1-2, 2001 <br /> AND WELL EW-1 CAPTURE ZONE ANALYSIS <br /> 574 WEST GRANTLINE ROAD <br /> TRACY, CALIFORNIA <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> Thus report presents flow rate and water level data collected during a step drawdown test <br /> and a 1000-minute constant rate pump test of extraction well EW-1 associated with the <br /> remediation project at 574 West Grant Line Road in the City of Tracy, California These <br /> tests were authorized by Aquascience Engineers, Inc on August 20, 2001 <br /> A low discharge rate step diawdown test was conducted m extraction well EW-1 on <br /> August 29, 2001 The low discharge rates were insufficient for interpretation A mid <br /> range discharge rate step drawdown test was conducted on October 31, 2001 The data <br /> from the second step drawdown test was analyzed and an optimum nominal long term <br /> constant rate test pumping rate of 8± gallons per minute (GPNf) was selected During the <br /> constant rate pump test water levels were periodically recorded in the pumping well and <br /> in five observation wells The discharge rate from well EW-1 was also periodically <br /> recorded <br /> Water pumped from the EW-1 during the first step drawdown test was temporarily stored <br /> in 55 gallon polydrums During the second step drawdown test and the constant rate <br /> pump test water was pumped directly into a 21,000 gallon tank <br /> • The following table lists the observation wells, the top of PVC casing elevations, and the <br /> distances from the pumping well <br />
