WORK PLAN ADDENDUM
MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION
Grant Line Gas& Food
2420 Grant Line Road
Tracy, CA
October 1995
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with a request from Mr. Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironemntal, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared this Work Plan Addendum for the drilling and installation of one monitoring wells at 2420
Grant Line Road in Tracy, California (the site). The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A
plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2.
2.0. BACKGROUND
2.1. SITE LOCATION
The site is located on the southeast corner of Grant Line Road and Toste Road in a rural area west
of Tracy, California(Figure I). Interstate 205 is located approximately 200 feet northwest of the site.
The site is currently occupied by Grant Line Gas & Food, a gasoline service station and mini-mart
establishment.
2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL
On May 20, 1993, soil samples were collected from beneath the former product lines at the site.
Analysis of the soil samples indicated that hydrocarbon impacted soil was present in the area of the
former product lines. The investigation was performed and reported by Advance Soil Technology,
Inc. (AST).
On June 30, 1993, three underground storage tanks (UST's) were removed from the site: two 7,500-
gallon unleaded gasoline tanks and one 5,000-gallon diesel tank. The tanks were removed by Walton
Engineering.
Ground water was encountered in the tank excavation; ground water samples were collected from
the tank excavation. Analysis of the samples indicated that hydrocarbon impacted ground water was
present at the site.
2.3. INITIAL INVESTIGATION
