PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> To assess the lateral e)terA of hydrombon impacted soil and ground water at the site, the Sax-, <br /> 7oaquin County Public Health Services FrMronrnental Healtb Division (PHS I-M) has required <br /> further investigation. <br /> AGE proposes to drill one soil borings across the strut., Grantline Road, trona the site to continue <br /> awssmenat of the inT=e d soil and ground water. The bori%quill be drilled north of G rantline Road, <br /> in the City of Tracy right-of-way(upon approval by the City of Tracy). The boring will be completed <br /> as a two-inch diameter monitoring well. The proposed locations of the sail boring is illustrated in <br /> Figure 2, <br /> 4.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 4.1. INSTALLATION OF GROUND WATER MONTjI'ORING WELLS <br /> For the installation of ground wager monitoring wells, the following procerittres will be performed: <br /> 1) Notify the PHS/EHD at least 48 hours prior to commencement of any work. <br /> 2) Concrete cut the sidewalk(ifnecessaay)and drill one borings across the street from the site <br /> using a truck-mounted drill rig egWpped with oontinuous-flight, 8-inch diameter hollow-sterni <br /> augers. The furring will be dt iiled to a depth of approximately 15 &Vt. <br /> 3) Obtain sail samples at five-foot Wervals using a split-tube sampler loaded with three pre- <br /> cleaned brass Mecves <br /> 4) Preserve soil in the lead bms sleeve by cavering both ends with aluminum foil or Teflon <br /> sheets, capping, and sealing with tape. <br /> 5) Label and log soil sunples on a chain-of-�,-ustody form.. <br /> 6) Store the scruples under icae and transport the samples in a cliMed conminer to a State certified <br /> laboratory for analysis <br /> 7) Log soil sample duplicates in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System. <br />
