INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr. Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Work Plan Addendum for 2420 Grant Line Road in Tracy, California. `Che scope of <br /> work includes the installation of one ground water monitoring well and sampling procedures for <br /> stockpiled soil excavated and removed from cast of the site. The location of the site is illustrated in <br /> Figure 1 - Location ,lIup. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Envirorvnental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1. SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located on the southeast corner of Grant Line Road and Toste Road in «-est Tracy, <br /> California (Figure 1). Interstate 205 is located approximately 1,000 feet northwest of the site. The <br /> site is currently occupied by a gasoline service station and mini-mart establishment. <br /> 2.2. SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> It is our understanding that soil samples collected from beneath the former product lines indicated <br /> that livdrocarbon-impacted soil was present in the area of the former product lines. Three <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site. During removal. -,round water was <br /> encountered in the excavation. necessitating collection of water samples. Analysis of the ground <br /> water samples indicated that ground water had been impacted. <br /> Soil borings established at the site indicated low concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in the <br /> soils and impacted ground water was present in samples collected frorn monitoring wells installed <br /> on-sit•e and off-site, down-gradient of the petroleum hydrocarbon release. <br /> However, the extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume, remain undefined east of impacted wells <br /> (MW-4 and MW-S) off the site. Therefore, the PHS-EHD is requiring the delineation of the <br /> dissolved hydrocarbon plunge, so an additional monitoring well will be required, in this location. <br />
