Apparently, there may be some contamination of the water table. However, a recent test of the water at the site has not disclosed any pollution of its well. I am enclosing a copy of the report for your information. Burns Seed Company of Tracy, which currently owns the property, acquired it in 1985 from Ed and Al Petrig. Apparently, at the time the Petrigs purchased this property, there was an existing gas station on the premises. After they purchased the property, the Petrigs demolished the gas station and built the current structure, a warehouse and office. At some point, the underground storage tanks were removed. Since that time, there has been no further use of the property for gas station purposes. When Burns Seed Company of Tracy acquired the property, the Petrigs. did not disclose the prior use of the property as a gas station or that they had demolished the station and removed the underground storage tanks. At this point, I would request that you indicate what responsibility, if any, that Burns Seed Company of Tracy has relative to the clean-up of the above pollution. Also, please provide any information you have regarding the time- frame in which such clean up should occur. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation in this - - _—
