' 06 August 2002
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0111
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-g and BTEX compounds were not detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground
water samples TPH-d was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-4 and
' MW-5 at concentrations of 3,200 µg/1 and 530 µg/l, respectively TPH-d was not analyzed in the
sample collected from well MW-2, due to the sample container rupturing in transport to the
' laboratory
MTBE was detected utilizing EPA method 8260 in the ground water samples collected from MW-1,
' MW-4,MW-7 and MW-8 at concentrations of 42 µg/1, 10 µg/1,0 81 µg/1 and 12 µg/1,respectively
No other fuel additives were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water
samples analyzed
' Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory
report(MAI Laboratory I D Nos 0206381-001 through 0206381-008),quality assurance and quality
' control report and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
' . 4 0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the findings from this Investigation, AGE concludes
' • The northerly ground water flow direction Inferred from data collected during this
monitoring event is consistent with ground water flow directions determined during past
' monitoring events at the site
• TPH-d was detected In the ground water samples collected from wells MW-4 and MW-5 at
' concentrations of 3,200 gg/l and 530 µg/l,respectively TPH-g and BTEX compounds were
not detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
' • MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 in the samples collected from MW-1, MW-4,
MW-7 and MW-8 at concentrations of 42 µg/l, 10 µg/1, 0 81 µg/1 and 1 2 µg/1,respectively
No other fuel additives, including 1,2-DCA and EDB were detected at or above laboratory
' reporting limits in the ground water samples analyzed A map illustrating the approximate
extent of TPH-d- and MTBE-impacted ground water is depicted on Figure 4
• Advanced CeoEnvironmental Inc
1
1
