a f,
r .ti
13 October 2000
AGE-NC Project No 95-0111
rPage 3 of 4 Qj
was detected above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples analyzed
r
Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory
Yt gT p
reports (MAI Laboratory Sample Nos 47439 through 47446), quality assurance and quality control
rreport and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
r4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
rBased on the findings from this investigation, the following conclusions are presented
• The northerly ground water flow direction inferred from data collected during this
r monitoring event is consistent with ground water flow directions determined during past
monitoring events at the site '
• The concentrations of TPH-g, TPH-d and BTE&X detected in the ground water samples
rremain near the low end of the range of concentrations previously detected The
hydrocarbons are located primarily in the down-gradient direction from the UST facility
r (wells MW-1, MW-4 and MW-5) Hydrocarbons have not been detected in the most down-
gradient well (MW-6) over the last seven quarters
• MTBE was only detected in three wells (MW-1, MW-4 and MW-7) with the highest
rf concentration (67 ,ug/l) occurring immediately down-gradient of the UST facility(MW-1)
VJ06 Only trace concentrations of MTBE were detected in MW-4 and MW-7
r
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
rIn summary, five years of monitoring ground water has shown that the ground water flow direction
has been consistently toward the north-northeast to northeast The data also demonstrates that the
r plume of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water appears to be fairly stable and not actively migrating
Concentrations of hydrocarbons and MTBE are generally low Based on these points, AGE
recommends that a comprehensive closure request report be prepared for submittal to the PHS-EHD
rand CVRWQCB
r6.0. LIMITATIONS
r Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
. analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geo logic/hydro geologic
rconditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of
Advanced GeoEnvaronmental Inc
r
