These documents will also assist with evaluating the need to sample the water supply <br /> wells or assist with providing the justification for not sampling the wells. <br /> The SCM will describe the relationship between the source area, transport pathways, and <br /> potential receptors. The SCM will be developed for the Site based on review of available <br /> geological and analytical data. Supporting documents for the SCM will include historical soil <br /> and groundwater analytical data,soil and groundwater isoconcentration figures,available <br /> boring and well logs,geologic cross sections, a sensitive receptor survey,and a list of key <br /> environmental reports. <br /> The RA will include both a Human Health Risk Assessment and an Ecological Risk Assessment. <br /> The purpose of the RA will be to evaluate the human health and ecological risks that are likely <br /> to be present at the Site. The RA will be prepared in accordance with guidelines set out by the <br /> California Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Environmental Protection <br /> Agency. The specific goals of the RA are presented below: <br /> • identify and provide analysis of human health and ecological risks at the Site and if <br /> necessary,identify what portions of the Site may require remediation; <br /> • provide a basis for determining the level of chemicals that can remain at the Site and <br /> still not adversely impact human health,ecological health,and water quality; and <br /> • provide a basis for comparing the effectiveness of various remedial alternatives in <br /> limiting any potential human and ecological risks. <br /> Proposed Schedule for Submittals <br /> The following schedule is proposed for the submittals discussed above. <br /> 1) Site Conceptual Model-September 1,2009 <br /> 2) Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan-September 15,2009 <br /> 3) Risk Assessment Work Plan-September 30,2009 <br /> The RA work plan will include a schedule for implementing work activities and report <br /> submittal. <br /> Worldwide Engineering, Environmental, Construction, and IT Services <br />
