The Work Plan proposes four borings to collect soil and grab groundwater
samples to delineate the vertical extent of petroleum pollution.
Thank you for your quick response to our request for a work plan. We concur with the Work
Plan provided that Shell either containerizes the drill cuttings or secures the stockpiled soil in a
manner that prevents rain water from coming in contact with the soil and prevents tampering. By
16 May 2003,please submit an investigation report detailing the field activities, sampling
results, and waste disposal along with recommendations for remediation of contaminated soil and
groundwater, if necessary.
