1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Conestoga-Rovers&Associates(GRA)has prepared this work plan on behalf of Equilon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell) for the Former Shell Central Valley <br /> Crude Oil Pipelines located at Hansen Road near Schulte Road,in Cordes Ranch,Tracy, <br /> California (Figure 1). This work plan describes procedures to investigate soil conditions <br /> beneath a former crude oil pipeline right-of-way (ROW) located within a portion of the <br /> proposed Crossroads Business Center commercial development. Specifically, the <br /> proposed investigation areas are approximately 2,600 feet of former pipeline ROW <br /> northwest of the current investigation area shown on Figure 2, and approximately <br /> 3,700 feet of former pipeline ROW located southeast of the current investigation area. <br /> The proposed investigation activities will be performed in accordance with the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board,Central Valley Region(RWQCB) guidelines. <br /> A summary of previous work performed at the site and background information is <br /> presented in CRA's January 17,2011 Site Assessnient Work Plan and is not repeated here. <br /> 2.0 WORK PLAN <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to obtain information on the presence or absence of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in soil beneath the former pipelines. The following scope of <br /> work will be performed to achieve the investigation objectives: <br /> • Survey and mark the former pipelines <br /> • Advance soil borings at 300 feet (ft) intervals to evaluate soil conditions beneath the <br /> former pipelines. <br /> • If necessary, advance additional soil borings at locations of observed soil impact to <br /> define the soil impacts. <br /> 2.1 PERMITS AND PROPERTY ACCESS <br /> CRA will obtain drilling permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> Prior to performing the assessment, property access approval and notification will be <br /> required for two property owners. <br /> OM22XI4) 1 CGNESTOGA-ROVERS R AssocIATEs <br />
