Heat stroke victims must receive emergency medical care. <br /> ❑ Hypothermia/Frostbite Symptoms: <br /> ✓ Hypothermia: Shivering, apathy, loss of consciousness, <br /> decreasing pulse and breathing rate. <br /> ✓ Frostbite: White, then grayish yellow progressing to <br /> grayish blue skin, cold, numb part. <br /> Mitigation: Wear multilayer cold weather outfits covered by a wind resistant fabric. Take <br /> frequent breaks in a warm, sheltered area. Provide warm non-alcoholic drinks. For frostbite victims <br /> warm injured part gradually, do not rub!
