The 1000 gallon UST was removed by SEMCO Environmental on
November 12, 1993 under the supervision of Ms. Eleanor Ratliff of San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD). The UST had been out of service since the mid-
1980's. Inspection of the tank at the time of removal and laboratory analysis of soil samples G
collected from beneath the previous location of the tank indicated that soil impacted with
petroleum hydrocarbons was present. In a letter to FEMA dated December 27, 1993, Ms.
Donna Heran (SJCEHD) indicated that the UST cannot be recommended' for final closure
without further investigation to determine the.full extent of the soil contamination. In a letter
from Woodward-Clyde dated January 5, 1994 all pertinent tank removal! documents were
C submitted to SJCEHD. A Site Contamination Work Plan describing proposed site
investigation activities accompanies this letter for "Application.for Well/Pump Permit".
C
80-UWAXPERMZTR (0115-95)SAC
C
Woodward-Clyde Federal Services
10370 Old Placerville Rd.,Suite 104•Sacramento,CA 95827-2505
L Q 916-368-0988•Fax 916-368-0967
C
