Hinson, R.E.H.S.
C Project No. 8054
March 15, 1995
Page 2
f
j Enclosed is a completed "Application for Well/Pump Permit for the three soil borings and .
R a check for the application fee of $89. A site map showing the location of the proposed
borings is attached.
Woodward-Clyde has contracted EN PROBE of Oroville, California to',conduct the soil
sampling activities. The Direct Push Technology(DPT)provides discrete depth soil sampling
without generating investigation derived waste. The DPT methodology is the only change
•• to the Site Contamination Work Plan. The location and depth of the borings have not
changed. The depth of the borings will extend up to 60 feet below ground surface. Up to
five soil samples will be selected from each boring for chemical analysis. The soil samples
will be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) as diesel and°'TPH as gasoline
using modified EPA Method 8015, and.benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes
using EPA Method 8020. The chemical analysis of soil samples will be conducted by a State
of California certified analytical laboratory.
Ifou have any y questions, please call me at (916) 368-0988 or Mike Sartor in our Oakland
office at (510) 874-3173.
Very truly yours,
WOODWARD-CLYDE
William Loskutoff
Geologist
L
cc: Alan Graft (KJAX) Harry Butler (WCFS Rockville, MD)
Mike Sartor (WCFS Oakland, CA) Don Siligo (EN PROBE)
G Chuck Georgius (WCFS Gaithersburg, MD)
Attachments: Figure 3 - Site Map with Proposed Soil Boring Locations
8054WAXMERMI TR (03-15-95)SAC.
f
L
f
