We completed the soil vapor survey and three groundwater monitoring wells
OFFICES during the week of March 26-30,2001. We also determined that drilling conditions would not
Boston allow us to complete the deeper well(MW-3)with conductor casing using the hollow stem
Massachusetts auger drill rig. Therefore,we are planning to complete the deep monitoring well next week
Cleveland using the mud rotary technique. In consultation with several drillering experts,we concluded
Ohio that mud rotary is the best technique to insure our ability to install conductor casing to a depth
of 85 feet at this site, which in turn will protect against cross-contamination during drilling
Denver and well installation.
Colorado
Plymouth We plan to begin field work for the final well on Tuesday,24 April 2001. We envision that
Michigan the drilling and well installation will require between two and three days. Once the work is
Hartford completed,we will prepare a site assessment report and submit it to the Regional Water
Connecticut Quality Control Board in accordance with the schedule outlined in your 26 January 2001 letter
Los Angeles to Dan Decker.
Caltfomia
Manchester Joe Weidmann,RG.,will direct this work for Haley&Aldrich.
