Hammer Lane
Stockton, CA 95210
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the soil sampling report dated May,
1991, by Aqua Geosciences, Inc. and has the following comments:
The recommendation for excavation and on--site treatment of
soils contaminated by the leaking underground tanks is the
favored alternative. A work plan/proposal for the method of
treatment is requested and must be reviewed by PHS/EHD prior
to the commencement of this field work and should include the
following:
1. Estimated volume to be excavated.
2 . A detailed sampling plan which follows Tri-Regional
Guidelines.
3. A grid map showing sample locations (i.e. bottom, sides,
depths) .
4 . Estimated date for backfilling the excavation.
5. Site/task specific health and safety plan.
6. Method of treatment or waste disposal.
This work plan should be submitted in a timely matter, we recommend
thirty (30) days from the date of this letter.
If you have any questions contact Michael Infurna, RENS, of my
staff at (209) 468-3454.
Jogi Knnswpna, M.D. , M.P.H.
Healt fficerr
'C 4
urie A.
