CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS
GRANITE CONSTRUCTION FACILITY
10500 South Harlan Road
French Camp, California
1992
April 22, 1992 - Five underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated dispenser
islands were removed from the site by Aronson Engineering of
Rancho Cordova, CA. Subsequent analysis of soil samples revealed
detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons beneath the
USTs and former dispenser islands.
1993
l
March 9-12, 1993 - Drilled a total of 20 soil borings (B 1 - B 17) and constructed three
groundwater monitoring wells.(MW1 -MW3). Soil borings BI
and B2 were"angle" drilled beneath the former waste oil UST. I
The remaining borings were drilled in the vicinity of the former
USTs and dispenser island. A total of 40 soil samples were
analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons. Analysis of soil samples
collected from the"angle" borings did not reveal elevated
concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons or waste oil metals.
Petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel were detected at a depth of at
least 12"feet beneath the former dispenser islands. Subsurface soils
in the vicinity of the former USTs revealed TPH as gasoline to
depths ranging from,45 to 25 feet.
March 26, 1993 - Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW 1 -
MW3. Monitoring well MW1 and MW2 did not reveal any TPH as
gasoline or BTEX. However, monitoring wells MW3 revealed
WALLACE•KUHL
&ASSOCIATES INC.
Recycled paper -
