SITE LOCATION <br />' The site is located at 10500 South Hal Ian Road which runs parallel and lust east of Interstate 5 in <br /> French Camp, California 1'he location of the two existing USTs discussed in this report are <br /> 1 situated in a tank clustei of seven tanks located south of a batch plant area at the Granite <br /> Construction yaid (See Plate I) <br />' 2 2. CURRENT SITE USE AND VICINITY CHARACTERISTICS <br /> The subject site is currently an operating construction yaid utilized by Granite Construction <br />' Company The site consists o1 an office shop arca fuel storage areas, batch plant, scales, silo's, <br /> parking areas, etc for construction Purposes The area discussed within this report includes a <br />' tank cluster aiea located towards the eastern portion of the site within a yaid area south of a batch <br /> plant The tank cluster is Immediately overlain «rth concrete The majority of the yard area, <br /> however is covered with gravel The sunounding areas are priniaiily light industrial and rural <br /> residential housin�i, Interstate 5 is located just \Nest of the site <br />' 23 GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGV <br /> The site hes within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California The valley is <br />' approximately 400 miles long and averages about 50 miles wide, and comprises about 20,000 <br /> square miles The valley has been tilled �N ith a thiek sequence of marine and non-marine <br />' sediments from the late luiassic to Holocene The uppermost strata of the Great Valley <br /> represents foi the most part, the alluvial flood and delta plains of two major rivers (Sacramento <br /> and San Joaquin Riveis) and their ttibutalles <br />' The valle,, deposits are derived from the Coast Ranges to the west and the Sierra Nevada to the <br /> east Granitic and metamorphic rocks outcrop along the eastern and southeastern flanks of the <br /> valley Marine sed i mentai y rocks outct op along most of the western, southwestern, southern, <br /> and southeaster n flanks, and volcanic i ocks and deposits outcrop along the northeastern flanks of <br /> the valley rhe valley geomorpholog} includes dissected uplands, low alluvial plains and fans <br /> river flood plains and channels, and OVer h10\, lands and lake bottoms <br /> • <br /> 20-1108-24 1-01/20198 120 Page 3 of 16 <br /> 0 1999, KILMILI&I Inc.
