The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the extent of hydrocarbons
previously identified in the soil and assess possible hydrocarbons present in the ground
water.
The work performed for this investigation included drilling nine soil borings, installing
ground-water monitoring wells in four of the borings, developing and purging the wells,
installing three vapor-extraction wells in three of the borings, and collecting and analyzing
soil and ground-water samples for hydrocarbon constituents_ Data gathered during the
investigation were used to evaluate the extent of residual hydrocarbons in soil, assess
whether ground water underlying the site has been affected by hydrocarbons, and evaluate
the groundwater flow direction and gradient. This report summarizes previous
environmental investigations conducted at the site, describes the tasks performed during this
investigation, includes the laboratory results, and presents our interpretations and
conclusions.
3OW4-4
