June 26, 1992
ARCO Service Station No. 549, Stockton, California
BACKGROUND
Site Description
ARCO Service Station No. 548 is on the southwest corner of Hammer Lane and Brentwood
Drive in Stockton, California, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1). According to
information supplied by ARCO, there are five underground tanks at the site: two 4,000-
gallon tanks store leaded gasoline, one 6,000-gallon tank stores super unleaded gasoline, one
10,000-gallon tank stores regular gasoline, and one 280-gallon tank stores waste oil. The
approximate tank locations relative to site structures are shown on the Generalized Site Plan
(Plate 2).
•
:4 Water•Supply.Wells '
It is our understanding from the City of Stockton Public Works Department that water is
supplied by municipal wells. Numerous water-supply wells are near the site. Data obtained
from the California Department of Water Resources concerning these wells are presented
in Table 1, and the locations of the wells are depicted on Plate 1. The majority of the wells
are east of the site. The nearest municipal well (No. 29) is approximately 1,000 feet to the
south, and the nearest domestic well (No. 26) is approximately 1,200 feet to the southeast.
There is another domestic well (No. 27) that is approximately 1,500 feet to the northwest.
• Other wells may exist in the area but are not documented. Information regarding the
sediments and the perforated intervals of these wells is considered confidential and is not
available to RESNA at this time. A 5-inch-diameter sewer line is present under Hammer
Lane and Brentwood Drive. An 8-inch-diameter water main is present under Hammer
Lane.
•
IM-4 2
