II'
16 3.4 Groundwater Sampling
Shallow groundwater grab samples were collected from each soil boring by using temporary wells.
The temporary wells were left in boreholes SHP-1 through SHP-5 long enough for sufficient water to
accumulate for sampling. The time for the groundwater to accumulate in the temporary wells averaged
between 40 minutes to 3 hours. In the boring SHP-6, a groundwater grab sample was also obtained
from the lower local aquifer by using a Hydropunch tool. The groundwater samples were carefully
poured into the appropriate sample containers. The samples were labeled and placed in a cooler with
ice, and transported to a California Certified analytical laboratory using chain-of-custody protocol.
1
I
f
s
A
1
J:UIPn.tree"')V1KSTOFlQS 1J25REPORT5kV--11&,H 0.6.o..d Wdl ln.I.1lminn.Jna 6
