4
f
4.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
One soil
seven sample and groundwater samples were obtained from six soil borings and submitted to
P
the analytical laboratory for chemical analyses in accordance with ATC's Workplan dated June 1,
2001.
4.1 Groundwater
The groundwater samples were analyzed for the following: TPH-G in accordance with USEPA Test
Method 8015M, BTEX in accordance with USEPA Test Method 8020, and fuel oxygenates TBA,
MTBE,DIPE, ETBE and TAME, and 1,2-DCA in accordance with USEPA Test Method 8260.
TPH-G and MTBE were detected in groundwater grab samples obtained from SHP-3 at 8.6 feet bgs,
and from SHP-2 at 14.7 feet bgs. MTBE was not detected in the groundwater grab samples collected
from soil borings SHP-1, SHP-4, SHP-5, SHP-6. BTEX and the fuel oxygenates, excluding MTBE,
were not detected in the groundwater grab samples obtained from SHP-1 and SHP-3 through SHP-6.
The analytical results for the groundwater grab samples are presented in Table 1. Copies of the signed
1 laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody forms are provided in Appendix D.
4.2 Soil
One soil sample collected from boring SHP-6 was analyzed for the following: TPH-G in accordance
with USEPA Test Method 8015M, BTEX in accordance with USEPA Test Method 8020, and fuel
oxygenates tert-butanol (TBA), MTBE, DIPE, ETBE and TAME, and 1.2- DCA in accordance with
USEPA Test Method 8260.
TPH-G, BTEX compounds, the fuel oxygenates and 1,2-DCA were not detected in the soil sample.
The analytical results for the soil sample are presented in Table 2. Copies of the signed laboratory
analytical reports and chain-of-custody forms are provided in Appendix D.
Pr.rr..tlRTI"TOP1OS I RIREPORTS111InP&A Rnrina,and W,II Instal tat i..n.dnv 7
