STATE OF CALIFORNIA- Environmental Protectio•ency •__ __ PETE WILSON, Govemor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 Routier Road, Suite A --`'
Sacramento, CA 95827-3098
PHONE: (916)255-3000 }'
FAX: (916) 255-3015 „"
16 December 1994
Mr. Paul Sundberg
WESTON
83 West March Lane, Suite 12
Stockton, CA 95207
GROUND WATER INVESTIGATION WORKPLAN, MUNCO INC., KOPPEL FACILITY
Staff have reviewed your 28 October 1994 submittal on the subject site, and it is approved with the
following comments:
1. The proposal to install only two monitoring wells is acceptable, however, depending on future
events, it may be necessary to install one or more additional wells. Such events could be a lack
of successful coordination with the neighboring sites or, as is acknowledged, the discovery of
contamination in the ground water.
2. The site specific Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to this office at least one week before
work commences.
3. The proposed schedule seems realistic and is satisfactory. We recognize the unpredictability of
coordinating the sampling with the other sites, and will work with all concerned to facilitate
matters.
If you have any questions or concerns, please telephone me at (916) 255-3103, or beginning
3 January 1995, Wendy Wyels at (916) 255-3104.
CHRISTINE M.
