1 <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> All drill cuttings will be placed on plastic sheeting, covered with same, and stored on-site <br /> pending laboratory results Water used to clean the augers after drilling each boring will be <br /> ' collected and stored in 55-gallon drums approved for hazardous liquid storage pending laboratory <br /> analysis for disposal <br /> ' <br /> The monitoring ri wells will be constructed of 4-inch inside diameter PVC well screen/casing The <br /> ' wells will be completed as shown on Figure 4 The well screen will be a 0 010-inch slot and <br /> #2 mesh silica sand will be used for the filter pack Cement/sand slurry will be used to seal the <br /> ' well, in accordance with California Water Well Standards (December 1981) To protect the <br /> integrity of the well a locking, water-tight well plug will be installed on the well and a water- <br /> tight, locking weIlbox labeled "monitoring well" will be concreted over the well The wells will <br /> be developed in accordance with the accepted industry standards <br /> After installation, the wellheads will be surveyed vertically and horizontally to a common datum <br /> and tied to the existing wells Depth-to-water readings will be utilized to calculate the <br /> groundwater flow direction beneath the project site <br /> After the monitoring wells are installed the wells will be monitored for free product Water <br /> ' samples will be collected with a teflon bailer after purging a minimum of three well and filter <br /> pack volumes Samples will be collected in glass containers, preserved, sealed, labeled and <br /> ' transported on ice in an air tight cooler The samples will be analyzed by a State-certified <br /> laboratory for BTEX (EPA method 8020) and TPHg (EPA method 5030/8015) <br /> 1 <br /> 1500411REPOIRTS1WF0594 M 8 <br />
