Working To Restore Nature
' o Subsequent to installation, the wells will surveyed and monitored for depth to water and
the evidence of free product The wells will then be developed by purging a minimum
t of three casing and sand pack volumes, and until verification of the stabilization of pH,
electrical conductivity, and temperature to ensure collection of a representative formation
sample
o The wells will be monitored and developed in accordance with RESNA's Quality
' Assurance/Quality Control Plan (Appendix I)
' O Groundwater samples will be collected from each monitoring well for BTEX and TPHg
analysis by EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively
' Methodology
Two soil borings will be drilled to approximately 75 feet below grade to provide for the
' installation of groundwater monitonng wells The proposed locations of the borings are shown
on Figure 2
Drilling will be conducted by Spectrum Exploration, (C57 license #512268) using a hollow-stem
' auger drill ng A field geologist will be present to log all drill cuttings and soil samples
utilizing the Unified Soil Classification System Descriptions of soil types encountered, sample
' collection intervals, and well construction details will be recorded on boring/well logs and
' included in the summary report Cored soil samples will be collected above and below the water
table at 5-foot intervals Samples will be collected in brass sleeves with a California modified
' split spoon sampler All samples will be screened with a photoionization detector (PID) for the
presence of volatile organic hydrocarbons Samples selected for analysis will be sealed with
' teflon tape and plastic caps, placed in sealed plastic bags and transported on ice in an air tight
cooler Soil samples selected for laboratory analysis will include one sample from the soil/water
' table interface Analysis will be conducted for BTEX and TPHg by EPA methods 8020 and
5030/8015, respectfully The samples will be analyzed by a State-certified laboratory
150041MPORT5IWP-0594 FM 7
1
1
