Health Department's (SJCEHD), August 29, 2006 letter, included: as. <br /> Attachment 1. The SJCEHDI letter was in response to SECOR's June 27, 2006 Additional <br /> Assessment Report, documenting additional site assessment.. The additional assessment <br /> included the installation of wells MW-8, 9, 10, and 11 for MTBE plume delineation and <br /> groundwater extraction feasibility testing for remedial options. Hydraulic testing was <br /> performed to evaluate the feasibility of groundwater extraction as an interim remedial <br /> method to prevent methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE):from:moving further offsite, <br /> Based on their discussion of the site with California.Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB), the SJCEHD letter requested the following;. <br /> • Additional information on the proposed oxygen :injection to facilitate enhanced <br /> biodegradation of MTBE at the site. This should potentially include a geochemical <br /> evaluation of the groundwater to show that generated wastes would not result in the <br /> need for Waste Discharge Requirements. <br /> • Addresses of site(s) with similar characteristics where this technology has been <br /> successful in remediating MTBE in groundwater. <br /> • Evaluate the alternative of extraction and disposal of impactedgroundwater rom the <br /> wells with the highest concentrations on an interim basis. <br /> 1n a.dltion, the letter requesteda work plan for defining the downgradient extent of the <br /> MTBE plume be submitted to'SJCEHD by October 2, 2006. <br /> H:Vesponse tag 29-06:`SJEHD..Itr and wp'submittal 2:doc <br />
