q <br /> U 0 <br /> FIELD STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR <br /> PUTTING ON AND DECONTAMINATING <br /> PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> 1. Park vehicles outside the site boundaries. <br /> 2. During the pre-work safety meeting, the site manager will provide the following <br /> information: <br /> A. A description of the`site and known problem areas. <br /> B. The level of protection required. <br /> C. Emergency medical information. <br /> D. The locations of the first aid kit, showers, telephones, nearest water supply, ice <br /> and lavatory. <br /> 3. Use the nearest lavatory. <br /> 4. Lay out and check safety gear. <br /> 5. Put on safety gear in the following order: <br /> A. Saranex or Tyvek coveralls. <br /> B. Steel-toed work boots. <br /> C. Connect suit and boots with tape. <br /> D. Outer booties, if used. <br /> E. Air purifying respirators (APRs), if required. <br /> 6. Put on APRs as follows: <br /> A.
