Land RUtilization Alliance
• . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . P O BOX 1259 STOCKTON CA 95201 (209) 465-4265
RECEIVED
.JUN 28 1989
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY June 23, 1989
PLANNING DIVISION
Kerry Sullivan, Associate Planner
San Joaquin County Planning Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: Applications GP-88-22/ZR-89-26/Tract No. 2288 (SU-89-25)
Dear Ms. Sullivan
Land Utilization Alliance is quite concerned with the applications by Fremont
Industrial Association/Richard Bozzano for general plan amendment and zoning
changes as well as subdivision applications.
The issues of timelyness, necessity, and loss of prime farmland need to be addressed
in a full-blown environmental impact report. LUA will not accept this project
going forward with a negative declaration.
We would also request that the referral reply period be expanded by two weeks
by memo to all agencies including state agencies and environmental groups which
normally respond to these applications.
Your fifteen day period between (referrals mailed) June 13 and (development
committee) June 28 is not a proper time period for those agencies and others
not referraled to reply. This proposed project is far to important to jam
through the process at the usual velocity.
Than iiyoon' Alliance
r consideration,
John rdinator
Land U
cc: Evelyn Costa, Board President
Sandra Alphonso, County Counsel
Richard Harriman, Attorney
Michael Remy, Attorney
