The tanks stored
gasoline to fuel farm equipment. Upon removal, a sample collected from beneath one of the
USTs indicated that gasoline contamination was present in the soil.
A Work Plan was submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental
Health Division(PHS-EHD)by Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc. (AGE)to excavate
contaminated soil from the former UST area. The contaminated soil will be excavated using a
backhoe and will be stockpiled adjacent to the excavation, Contamination will be monitored
during excavation using a photo-ionization detector.
Upon completion of excavation, soil samples will be collected from the floor and sidewalls of the
excavation to confirm removal of the contarninated soil. If you have any questions, please contact
Mr. Ron Rowe of the PHS-EHD at 468-3420 or Mr. Bob Marty of AGE at 956-0264.
