I � <br />' San Joaquin Motor Pool Facility Health and Safety Plan <br /> • <br />' 3.2.4 Exposure/Injury/Medical Support <br /> As a follow-up to an injury or possible exposure above established exposure <br />' limits, all employees are entitled to and encouraged to seek medical attention and <br /> physical testing Depending upon the type of exposure, it is critical to perform <br /> follow-up testing with 24-48 hours It will be up to the employer's medical <br />' consultant to advise the type of test required to accurately monitor for exposure <br /> effects <br /> 1 3.3 Site Safety Meetings <br />' Site safety onentation/traimng meetings shall be conducted by the SHSC before field <br /> personnel begin work at specific sites, when there are modifications to the HSP, and <br /> when additional personnel begin field work Meetings shall be attended by all field <br />' personnel involved in field activities <br /> The meeting agenda shall include the following description of the assigned tasks and <br />' their hazards, coordination of site activities, identification of methods/precautions to <br /> prevent injuries, emergency planning, modifications to the Health and Safety Plan, and <br /> input from the field personnel on health and safety issues pertaining to the site tasks At <br />' the end of the meeting,the SHSC will collect attendees' signatures indicating their receipt <br /> and understanding of the HSP and their agreement to comply <br />' 3.4 First Aid and CPR Training <br /> It is required that the SHSC and at least one other member of the field personnel have <br /> First Aid and CPR training This training must be consistent with the requirements of the <br /> American Red Cross Association <br />' 4.0 HAZARD EVALUATION <br />' Hazards generally encountered during site investigation activities, consist of exposure to <br /> chemical compounds of hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, and solvents, and the <br /> endangerment from operations of heavy equipment, falls, splashes and spills of fluids, utility <br />' lines, heat stress, and exposure to heat and cold <br />' 4.1 Hydrocarbons <br /> The following briefly summarizes the contaminant group of, and evidence of an <br />' individual's exposure to, hydrocarbons Other contaminants may be identified during the <br /> site investigation process <br /> 1 <br />' 4 <br />
