Waue-oil UST and Aamou Fill Line Removal and Soil Sampling-BP Station No. 11195
August 6, 1997
STOCKPILE SAMPLING
Soil generated during the UST and remote fill line removal was placed on and covered with plastic sheeting. Two
soil samples (SPL A and B) were collected for disposal characterization and submitted to Sequoia Analytical for
compositing prior to analyses. The stockpile sample was analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, TPHd, SVO, volatile organic
compounds (VOC), and CAM 5 Metals. TPHg, BTEX, TOG, SVO, and VOC were not detected in the stockpile
sample. However, TPHd were detected at a concentration of 5.6 ppm. The metals chromium (4.0 ppm), nickel
(5.6 ppm), and zinc (22 ppm) were also detected in the stockpile sample. Stockpiled soil (approximately 10 cubic
yards) generated on May 14, 1997, was transported by Jim Bell Trucking on June 3, 1997, to Forward Landfill in
Manteca, Califomia. Bill of Laden for soil transported to Forward Landfill is attached.
GSI recommends a copy of this report be forwarded to:
Robert McClellon
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division
304 E.
