skev <br /> bow <br /> 8. 0 DECONTAMINATION <br /> v <br /> All workers will remove protective clothing prior to leaving the <br /> active work area. A field decon area will be located at the <br /> perimeter of the active work area. The field decon will consist of <br /> plastic garbage bags for collection of disposable protective gear, <br /> and boot/glove washes. Workers will be advised to wash their hands <br /> with soap and potable water before eating, drinking, or smoking. <br /> All non-disposable equipment, either personal or drilling, that <br /> contacts materials suspected to be contaminated will be cleaned <br /> .. prior to leaving the site, using a soap and water solution or <br /> pressure wash. NEVER USE A PRESSURE WASHER TO CLEAN BODY PARTS. <br /> The decontamination materials will be collected, containerized on <br /> site, properly labeled, and disposed of in accordance with <br /> two applicable regulations. <br /> 9. 0 GENERAL WORK RULES <br /> 1. All personnel must abide by all safety rules/emergency <br /> procedures as described in this health and safety plan. <br /> 2 . No drinking or illegal drugs will be allowed on <br /> site. Any employee under a physician's care <br /> and/or taking prescribed medications which may <br /> affect job performance must notify the HSO. <br /> 3. Eating, drinking, smoking, and chewing gum or <br /> tobacco are not allowed in the active work areas. <br /> 4. SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE ACTIVE WORK AREA TO <br /> PREVENT FIRE/EXPLOSION. <br /> 5. Employees will wash their hands upon leaving the <br /> active work area before eating, drinking, or <br /> smoking. <br /> 6. Personnel are required to properly use and <br /> maintain the personal protection specified for <br /> their work, and report any defects to the HSO. <br /> 7. Construction equipment always has the right-of-way <br /> over regular vehicles and pedestrians. Listen for <br /> +•-� warning signals on construction equipment. <br /> 8 . Equipment operators must pay deliberate attention <br /> to watching for workers on the ground and provide <br /> warning to these people before moving. <br /> 9. ALL injuries and/or illnesses must be reported to <br /> -6- <br /> Environmental Health Consultants <br />
